For yogis, Kali Rose has given us permission to find our own yoga. "Do what you can and leave the rest!" Her whole being radiates gentle, loving encouragement, reminding us to "relax as much as possible and dare to follow the inner guidance." Rose has over 45 years experience teaching Yoga and trained with Joseph LePage, Rae Ellen Smith, Lex Gillian, Maria Kali Ma Mendola, Shiva Rae, Leslie Howard and is a nationally certified Yoga Therapist and Instructor. Rose has been helping people on many levels and will continue to do so with certifications from NACYT National Association of Certified Yoga Teachers, Yoga Institute Austin TX, AFAA, Integrative Yoga Therapy- Brazil, and Kripalu. Her stryle of teaching is Hatha, Integrative, Vinyasa, Kundalini and Tantric. She works intuitively, changing the class daily to fit the needs of her students. Her extensive training in Pelvic Floor and Vagus Nerve work are her newest additions to all classes.

While PranArise is a joyful way to work up a sweat, it can also be a powerful & cathartic release. We embrace our inner child-like nature, and come home to our bodies in new and transformative ways.
In a PranArise Yoga+Dance class, we begin with basic asana, and as the music builds, so does our energy...moving through our chakra system to shake off (literally!) those old patterns & blocks that no longer serve us. Through movement and imagery, we clear space for newer, more empowered energy into our life. This is SELF-LOVE in motion. As of August 24th, 2020 we have been inspected to hold group classes safely at our humble studio. We received our certificate of inspection, we have a air purifications that will eliminate viruses and bacterias from the air. Our classes will be with people situate 6 feet apart. Masks are required as you enter the studio. You may take off your mask (optional) when on your Yoga Mat. Please bring your own props, yoga mats, etc to reduce sanitizing after classes. Please watch for new guest teacher classes coming to enrich our studio. Notifications will go out through email and on Face Book.
Our Yoga Classes
Are very unique and transformational - some call it "Mystical Yoga" others call it "Transformational Yoga." She begins our classes with "grounding" & removing the fears and stress of our day. She takes us through our major muscles and joints losing them up and clearing the negative emotion that gets trapped there. its an ancient technique called Somatics- it's a gentle rolling so your muscles and joints may ease into the stretching. It is common knowledge that you cannot go into lengthening (or stretching) a muscle or joint with out rolling the body out first. She guides us into a more gentle Yoga Asansa and ease into tranformational dynamic poses. We always work the abdominals- most of your Yoga is "Core Work." The style of Yoga used is a variety (Rose says it depends on what my students need that class) of Hatha, Integrative, Vinyasa, Raja, Pelvic Floor & Vagus Nerve Work, Kemetic, Pilates, Acu- Yoga and Kundalini. Philosophy, Astrology, Energy Medicine are also woven into classes.
We always do hip openers (releases worries & fears), we always strengthen the upper body and we lengthen the muscles and reopen the joints before we do Chakra Work. We always end our classes with Savasana (meditation). As a Certified Yoga Therapist- Rose knows what each Student (issues they are working on) needs from the class. She is also an "Intuitive" so what she doesn't know- "Spirit" will tell her. We are all connected to the earth, the universe and all living and non-living things. So let's tap into them together.....

This is not your typical mediation~ YN opens up doorways, releases blockages, it heals every organ, bone, muscle etc, it goes DEEP in to ALL levels of consciousness, releasing scars from traumas & abuses we have suffered from in this lifetime and more. Your YN takes you through the veils of life, afterlife, and previous lifetimes. We experience time travel, astro projection and it's also trippy!
It is said that Yoga Nidra is the most healing and best of all meditations. It has an emphasis on health and healing where habitual thinking and thought patterns are reduced or eliminated and it also helps with insomnia and stress reduction. It also brings an incredible calmness, quietness, clarity and is one of the deepest of all meditations. Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep and is a state of conscious Deep Sleep. In this Meditation, you remain in the Waking state of consciousness, and gently focus the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise and go on.. While Yoga Nidra is a state that is very relaxing, it is also used by Yogis to purify the Samskaras (negative energy & thought patterns). It’s also great for insomniacs and those who suffer with PTSD, as well as a powerful tool for manifesting. It also raises “Bodhi” our awareness or spiritual growth.

Yoga Proven Effective in Complementary Cancer Care

The 21st Century has brought with it tremendous strides in cancer survival and the efficacy of therapies. Among the more important aspects of this progress is the implementation of integrative oncology as an effective model for cancer treatment. Integrative oncology emphasizes not only the use of traditional cancer treatments, such as surgery, chemotherapy, and surgery, but also complementary, non-curative therapies designed to ease the process of cancer treatment for the patient. These therapies can range from acupuncture to meditation, but have proven more often than not to be effective in assisting patients through the discomforts commonly associated with traditional cancer treatment. One therapy being incorporated into cancer care in recent years is Yoga.
The primary goals of integrative oncology are to achieve effective cancer treatment while maintaining patient comfort and relief of stress. Just as Yoga has been used for hundreds of years as an effective stress release mechanism for many people, so too is it now being utilized by cancer patients.
While further research is ongoing, preliminary studies examining the effects of Yoga among cancer patients and survivors support the efficacy of Yoga within cancer treatment regimens, including the combating of symptoms caused by chemotherapy drugs. Yoga has shown to dramatically reduce sleeplessness, cancer-related distress, nausea, and excessive fatigue.
Some aggressive cancers are difficult to treat with curative therapies. Many patients of malignancies such as mesothelioma choose to incorporate alternative therapies such as Yoga, not to supplant traditional therapies, but to improve quality of life and reduce anxiety associated with terminal disease. Therapies which can reduce stress levels and alleviate symptoms associated with aggressive chemotherapy cocktails and radiation treatments can be extremely beneficial not only to patients but also to family members and loved ones of patients.
This is not to say however, that Yoga and other alternative therapies are appropriate for all patients. Patients of mesothelioma cancer, for instance, should speak with their oncologist and other doctors to ensure that they are in good enough health to pursue any therapy which could induce mild stress on the body. However, support for Yoga and other well-being-based therapies is growing among the oncology establishment and many cancer centers are introducing sessions designed for patients and family members. If the ultimate goals of complementary cancer care are to introduce therapies which improve comfort levels and reduce stress experienced by patients and loved ones, Yoga will be at the forefront of integrative oncology now and in the future.

Seva Yoga is the practice of giving or serving mankind from the heart. This is genuinely reflected in Rose as she holds the Roycrofters motto "Head, Hand and Heart- putting love into all that you do." Rose has donated all of the proceeds from her lectures for more than 5 years to different causes here in our village. She has organized a Clean Up for the village of East Aurora every year in conjunction with Earth Day. Teaching free Chair Yoga to our Senior Citizens athe the Wales Town Hall and the Aurora Adult Day Care Center. She partakes in a program called "Life Goes Om" where people with cancer or life threatening conditions may participate in any yoga class for free. She discounts any of her services for those with financial hardship and writes an innovative column in the East Aurora Advertiser (non-gratis) educating the community with Holistic Health articles.
